Business Analyst

Business Analyst Job Description
  • Collaborate with Program Manager, stakeholders and product owners to gather and define business and technical requirements related to software system design, new functionality, enhancements, and modifications for government websites and system.
  • Prepare and distribute timely deliverables, including meeting summaries, weekly activity reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quarterly data usage reports, ensuring clear communication with both internal and external customers
  • Serve as point person for answering Tier II and Tier III customer complaints from CCC.
  • Subject matter expert on the applications supporting.
  • Direct Scrum meetings and Agile-related initiatives to strengthen team alignment, reinforce Agile principles, and foster collaborative work environments.
  • Maintain JIRA Projects and SPRINTs
  • Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to ensure clear communication and implementation of business and system requirements.
  • Test to confirm changes to applications and functionality is as expected per each release.  Support application testing during Production releases.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and artifacts reflecting updates to system functionality, including Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, News and Alerts, Release Notes, Requirement Traceability Matrices, and User Guides.
  • Develop business cases and use cases to support documentation efforts and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support the review and documentation of long-range team initiatives and strategic objectives in alignment with contractual deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of  three (3) years of Business Analyst experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experienced: with Agile Methodologies
  • Experienced: documenting distributed software applications
  • Experienced: with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experienced: working in large enterprise software development organizations
  • Proficient: writing formal business rules
  • Proficient: modeling use cases
  • Proficient:  MS Suite, MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Project, and JIRA.
  • Proficient: creating UML diagrams and technical documentation
  • Preferred: Scrum Master certified
  • Preferred: experience working with federal contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter and strong initiative to complete tasks thoroughly
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to complete an extensive background investigation
Preferred Clearance:
DoD public trust or interim secret clearance or higher
